Open Advising: Shifting courses to online format
For Faculty and Program Managers

Universities across the country are moving to online-only course formats to defend against the spread of COVID-19. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ is opening up its technical assistance resource to any program managers or faculty looking for support in the redesign of their course work for the COVID-19 reality.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ staff will bring knowledge and resources to assist with the following items:
- Hands on practice and tips-and-tricks for community building and engaged learning while using online education, conference call, learning management, and other software programs.
- Descriptions of past Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ courses administered online to offer as examples.
- Years of research in community service learning and innovative sustainability higher education course structure.
To join, use the Zoom call information below during the times listed above. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ staff will be in the Zoom room once you arrive. Staff will listen to your situation, ascertain what type of support you’d like, and then provide support where possible. Staff will provide assistance on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Those looking to join can call-in for any amount of time desirable, 5-min to 60-min, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ staff is willing to provide support as desired.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Program Managers are encouraged to invite faculty who have expressed interest in this type of support.
