To consolidate the two data sets (InletsByZone and swInlet) taken of Salinas鈥� stormwater inlet drains, data points were verified and validated through a series of steps; if the points on both data sets鈥� overlapped, the data point was considered verified, if the points differed slightly or only one layer was present, Google Earth’s 鈥渟treet-view鈥� feature was utilized in order to confirm existence of a stormwater inlet and validate such point. After points were validated, the 鈥渟wInlet鈥� layer was selected as the disposal layer due to the lack of information in the attribute table, as opposed to the 鈥淚nletsByZone鈥� layer which had more often been edited and added to by the city staff. The disposal of the 鈥渟wInlet鈥� layer left only the 鈥淚nletsByZone鈥� layer, in which all points are now validated or consolidated with any lacking data taken from the 鈥渟wInlet鈥� layer.
