To consolidate the two data sets (InletsByZone and swInlet) taken of Salinas鈥 stormwater inlet drains, data points were verified and validated through a series of steps; if the points on both data sets鈥 overlapped, the data point was considered verified, if the points differed slightly or only one layer was present, Google Earth’s 鈥渟treet-view鈥 feature was utilized in order to confirm existence of a stormwater inlet and validate such point. After points were validated, the 鈥渟wInlet鈥 layer was selected as the disposal layer due to the lack of information in the attribute table, as opposed to the 鈥淚nletsByZone鈥 layer which had more often been edited and added to by the city staff. The disposal of the 鈥渟wInlet鈥 layer left only the 鈥淚nletsByZone鈥 layer, in which all points are now validated or consolidated with any lacking data taken from the 鈥渟wInlet鈥 layer.
