Centre Moves wants to explore the possibility of creating community gardens where people live in multifamily residential complexes within the Centre Region. Students will research best practices, meet with area property owners, examine the sites, survey residents, estimate the cost for installing community gardens, and develop guidelines that the property owners could use to manage the gardens.

]]> Bellefonte School District has established a two-acre site school gardens, community gardens, an orchard to foster teaching of sustainable agricultural and environmental resources. Students will give recommendations on how to manage the existing space and resources as well as best practices and design for a sustainable landscape.

]]> Architecture students will design a project that celebrates and tells the story of a Bellefonte farmhouse. The project will be a retrofit of the farmhouse that follows standards set by the Living Building Challenge.
