Students will design, conduct, and analyze a survey that will aid in understanding undergraduates students’ knowledge, concern, and behaviors related to the environment. The survey will be distributed to roughly 10,000 students and provide correlations between various demographic information and environmental awareness, perceptions, and actions.

]]> HDNRE 590 students will contribute to the Centred Outdoors summer family challenge by working with RPTM students who are engaged in providing data for human health benefits at the nine sites, and to develop pre- and post-surveys for challenge participants. The survey should provide baseline data for future initiatives/measures as well as data reflecting the immediate success of the summer challenge.

]]> Centred Outdoors is an 11-week program designed to get individuals and families to spend time outdoors in Centre County at 9 different sites. Students in RPTM 433W will assess the designated routes at each of the 9 sites for their health benefits in terms of steps walked, distance, calories burned, difficulty rating, accessibility, etc. Students will determine the content needed and propose the design for a video that will play on a continuous loop in the center.
